Hi I believe those were designed as a tri-amp
set-up. The 15,s for the bass, the 291 for the mids. and the two horns in the 604,s for the H.F.
This set-up was made famous by PINK FLOYD on there "THE WALL" tour. A pair of those in complete form tri-amped in your house would most likly bring your wall,s down as well!!!!

I hate to sound dumb but I don't know what an SS3210R is. Is the 291 part a 291 Altec horn driver? If it is, it would be nice to know what horn it is bolted to? Is the horn a 511 or 811 or something else? And the the 2X15, is that two 15 inch woofers or speakers? If it is it would help to know what they are. Are they like Altec 515 or 416 or 421 or 3156 ?
If you can share what these components are maybe one of us can offer some ideas.
Regards,

Hey Dave their is a real good picture of the cabinets on Lansing Heritage site the cabinets in the picture are owned by Sound and Communications Inc. Also in the library section theirs a catalog showing pictures. They have a mantray horn which is 24w x 14h x 13d. they came with 291 drivers. These cabinets weigh alot they are fiberglass covered. I also have 4 of the smaller cabinets w/ 1"horn and 1 x 15.
Thanks Stan

OK, so I think I found the specs. The 291 driver will go down to 300 hz and the horn is good down to 500. I would suggest that you try a 12 db per octave crossover set at 500 hz to start. See how it sounds and if you don't like it try the same 12 db per octave set at 1500 hz.
I think the 291 is a 16 ohm unit and the two 15's are probably 8 ohms. Just wire the two woofers in series to get 16 ohm and make sure you have a 16 ohm crossover.
Have fun,
